For injuries and illnesses that can't wait for your personal doctor, Tarzana's emergency rooms are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our team of physicians and nurses are specially trained in emergency medicine, including Pediatric Emergency Services, which means they are ready to treat just about any medical emergency.
Our emergency rooms are equipped with some of the most advanced technology available for diagnostics and treatment. We offer a comprehensive on-site laboratory, radiology department, and more. And, of course, you have the wide range of services offered at Tarzana Regional Medical Center if further treatment is needed.
Tarzana Regional Medical Center has been designated as a STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) Receiving Center or heart attack treatment center by the State Department of Health Services and Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency. As a STEMI Receiving Center, the Tarzana Emergency Department, in conjunction with our local paramedics, is able to rapidly mobilize resources 24/7 which include:
- Coronary Catheterization Team
- Interventional Cardiologists
- Cardiothoracic Surgeons
Our mission as a STEMI Receiving Center is to work cooperatively with the paramedics to rapidly open arteries and restore blood flow of the STEMI patient in less than 90 minutes from symptom onset. This designation demonstrates Tarzana Regional Medical Center's continued dedication to provide our community with some of the highest quality cardiovascular care available in Los Angeles.
